(1) @Yankees: Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following
roster moves:
‧ Placed C Jose Trevino on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to 7/18) with
a right wrist tear.
‧ Recalled C Ben Rortvedt (#38) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(2) @Yankees: Following last night’s game, the Yankees made the following
roster moves:
‧Selected and signed RHP Matt Bowman to a Major League contract and optioned
him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
‧Transferred INF Josh Donaldson to the 60-day injured list.
Additionally, OF Willie Calhoun commences a rehab assignment tonight with
Double-A Somerset and INF/OF Jake Bauers commences a rehab assignment tonight
with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
(3) @BryanHoch: Jose Trevino needs season-ending wrist surgery. Said that his
wrist has been an issue dating back to spring training. He thought he could
play through the pain, but it has reached a point where he needs to get it
fixed. Expects to be ready for spring training 2024.
3.1. @BryanHoch: Trevino’s injury is a torn TFCC ligament.
(4) @BryanHoch: Aaron Judge will face Jonathan Loaisiga in live BP on Sunday.
After that, Aaron Boone said they “potentially” could have a timetable for his
return.
(5) @BryanHoch: Harrison Bader is doing well, according to Aaron Boone, and may
be available off the bench tonight. Bader sustained a bruised rib when he was
hit by a pitch on Wednesday.
(6) @BryanHoch: Austin Wells has been promoted to @swbrailriders.
(7) @ktsharp: This is the first time in his career that Carlos Rodon has walked
5+ batters and allowed 2+ HR in the same game
