roster moves:
‧ Placed INF Anthony Rizzo on the 10-day injured list with post-concussion
syndrome.
‧ Recalled INF/OF Oswaldo Cabrera (#95) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

(3) @BryanHoch: Boone said that Rizzo went through MLB concussion protocol at
the time of the injury and passed all testing then. In recent days he has
complained of fogginess.
(4) @BryanHoch: Boone said the Yankees trace this back to the Tatis Jr.
collision. Testing showed cognitive impairment
(5) @BryanHoch: Boone said the Yankees will evaluate Anthony Rizzo “week to
week” Jake Bauers & DJ LeMahieu will handle 1B in his absence.
(6) @BryanHoch: The Yankees said that Rizzo mentioned the “fogginess” at the
end of the Orioles series, when he went 0-for-5 with 5 K’s. He still played
in the next two games vs. Tampa Bay.
(7) @BryanHoch: Anthony Rizzo said he noticed he was more tired, but attributed
it to the grind of the season. He metioned waking up feeling hungover, and
occasionally forgot the numbers of outs. Testing showed his reaction time was
slower. “I didn’t just forget how to do this all of a sudden.”
(8) @ktsharp: Yankees are now 9-0 in games started by Gerrit Cole following
a team loss. Cole has a 2.19 ERA in those 9 starts.
(9) @ktsharp: Since June 4, this is just the 2nd time the Yankees have given
Gerrit Cole 5+ runs of support while he was pitching (also July 8 vs Cubs)
(9) @ktsharp: Yankee pitchers have now allowed 56 HR with men on base this
season. The only AL teams that have allowed more are Tigers (60) and A's (70)
