Baseball in Mexico has had exponential growth during 2023, because after the gre
at performance of the Mexican National Team in the last World Classic, the LMB h
ad spectacular entries in its stadium in its season, a situation that keeps Hora
cio de la Vega happy , president of the LMB and who assured that for the first t
ime in history the league itself gives money to the teams.

In an interview for AS en W, De la Vega stated that several teams came out of th
e negative numbers they were in and can now boast acceptable financial stability

In economic matters, it was one of the huge growths that we shared with you last
 year of 700 or 800 percent, now we grew 40 percent more in the income part in c
ommercial matters, television rights and more.

We also grew in coverage, last year we had 20 or 22 television rights, today we
have 34 television rights in 30 countries and all the numbers point to very favo
rable results for the teams,” he commented.
